So Andy hadn't come home until later last night, so what? And so he'd had to get dinner for himself, and keep himself company? Was that a problem? Was Andy not allowed to have her own friends, her own life apart from playing nursemaid for him night and day?
The logical answer was no. So why was her owl last night bothering him so much?
He meant to read a book, or work on woodcarving, calm himself down and forget about it. He certainly hadn't meant to pace the floors until she got home, or pounce on her with questions the moment she stepped in the door.
Well, so much for good intentions...
