Rabastan checked himself in the mirror. He considered removing his goatee and putting a glamour on his scar, but he usually only bothered when he was around muggles. He decided that there was no need to change his appearance, as the hotel he was in now and the club he selected for their dinner were both magical, and Narcissa would not have given him a portkey to a muggle location.
Le maison du noir, the House of Black.
Rabastan had found himself trying to determine the significance of that since yesterday morning when he read Narcissa's letter. He could not help but think that the activation phrase for the black ribbon portkey was important in some way. Did she have relatives in France he was unfamiliar with? It was possible, he supposed. As he dressed in his finely tailored black robes with silver accents, he told himself that he would learn the significance soon enough.
At 7:30 exactly, Rabastan invoked the portkey. "Le maison du noir."
The portkey deposited him in the gardens behind a french villa. Rabastan felt her off to his side before he heard her and turned.
