Eleanor still hadn't heard from Rose after what had happened with the vandals. She hoped that no news was good news, and figured that she was probably staying at her dorm in Exeter for convienence after the power had gone out. She'd have liked to call her, but the batteries in her mobile were dead. She'd send that off to her parents and ask them to charge it for her later. She didn't want to send Mercury with a letter either, since Rose attended Muggle Uni. In the end she decided to slip the letter under Rose's door on her way to school, and hope that she heard from her soon.

She also needed to write Dean to see if the loss of electricity would make it necessary to postpone the repairs to the house. That one she would send off with Mercury.

Dear Rose,

I hadn't heard from you for a while, and wanted to check up on you after what happened on Thursday morning. I hope you were't home when it happened, and that your flat is alright. I'd have called, but my mobile's batteries died.

I'm fine. I got some broken windows, but Ernie's fixed them already. I've also got the appliances charmed, so I'm doing alright without the power.

I know that you're likely in Exeter, so I won't worry (too much) if I don't hear from you right away. However, I'd love to get together as soon as you have the time. I miss you.

Love,
Eleanor

Dean,

I'm sorry I've not written before now. I hope that you're alright after last Thursday. I wanted to ask if the loss of electricity would effect the repairs to the house. I completely understand if that is the case.

I have charmed my oven to work without power, so it won't affect our payment plan of biscuits and lunch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Eleanor
