He heard animated laughter from outside, and went to open the door. Blaise and Terry were approaching with a small boy in tow.
"Morning Blaise," he said with a wave. "Hey Terry, and uh ... you." He smiled down at the kid he'd not met yet who was currently bouncing on his toes.

When the wards shifted, she had her wand in hand and waited as Roger went to open the door. He greeted Blaise and Terry, which made her relax her grip. She went over to join them and smiled. "Good morning, Blaise," she said. "Terry, it's lovely to see you."

“Roger good to see you again. This is uh -” Blaise looked down at Ben then back to Roger. “- Ben, Terry’s son. Ben this is Roger, Hermione’s friend. Hermione going to help us find a cat.” They moved further inside, and Blaise watched as Terry’s grip tightened on Ben, reining his son and the child’s excitement in.
He grinned when he saw Hermione and let go of Ben’s hand, stepping forward, a little grateful for the break as he hugged Hermione. “Hermione. How are you?”

After just a moment, Hermione glanced at him; he looked back at her curious expression, wanting to ask her what was on her mind but knowing this wasn't the time. When she looked away, his eyes followed her and he didn't really hear what she said to Ben, but after a moment the kid was walking through the wards.

He knelt and carefully lifted Ben down onto the floor to go and see the cats. He’d been looking at two rather playful kittens, and Blaise hoped that neither the child nor those kittens would decide they were the ones. Prometheus for one he was sure would not be pleased with such a choice.
He was just straightening himself up when Ben grasped his hand and pulled him inside the enclosure. Blaise raised an eyebrow in surprise and muttered something about manners and it not being polite to tug people so which raised an amused chuckle from Terry’s direction that drew in turn a scowl from Blaise.

"So, what do you think, Ben, see any you like?" he asked, kneeling next to them and reaching out to pet a small orange cat who sniffed his fingers.
Ben giggled as the cats climbed over him, licking his face and nuzzling his hand.
"They all like me!" he said, petting a fluffy brown cat on the ear. But for some reason, none of them felt like his kitty. He played with them for a little while longer, but soon the kitties had grown tired of him and wandered away.
"Guess those aren't your kitty, 'Laise," he said sadly. "But I'll find you one! Promise!"
He stood and looked around, mouth curving into a smile as he looked down and saw a kitty that looked sorta like a tiger looked up at him. "Hi," he said to it, reaching down and petting it softly, before looking over to Blaise. "Whatchoo think of her?"

Before Blaise could answer, Ben looked over at Daddy and said, "Daddy, you gotta come see the kitty! See if he likes you too!"
Terry laughed and scooted over so he was facing Blaise and reached out to let the kitten sniff at his fingers. The kitten didn't move from Blaise's lap, but did allow Terry to stroke its head softly.
He looked up at Blaise through his lashes and smiled. "Looks like you found your kitten after all."
