RP: Sleepover

Summary: As promised, Ernie comes to pick Eleanor up from work, and spends the night. An unexpected visitor arrives the next morning.

Eleanor was feeling slightly better after seeing Ernie earlier in the day. It had felt good to know that he'd worried about her, even if she did feel badly for making him worry. She was also very relieved that he would be with her that night. She didn't know how she would have handled being by herself in the house. And the thought of being in the bedroom by herself filled her with dread.
It also made her blush when she finally realized that she hadn't even thought that he would sleep anywhere else but in her bed. Maybe that wasn't what Ernie was expecting at all. Maybe he was planning on sleeping on the couch, or something. She wondered if it would be terribly needy to ask him to sleep in the bedroom with her. Or if he would get the wrong idea about her intentions, because she honestly wasn't thinking about, well, that. Though, she did realise that she had a tendency to act awfully tarty sometimes while he was around. It was just that she had felt safer when he had been there with her that morning.
Eleanor ran her hand through her hair as she glanced at the clock. Ernie would be there in half an hour. She wasn't going to worry about this now. In fact, she wasn't going to worry about it at all, she decided. She trusted that he wouldn't think it was just some strange attempt to shag him. And if he thought she was needy? Well, she was feeling very needy at the moment. She just hoped he would understand.
