Knobby had packed a picnic basket and set it out on the table by the time Gilderoy finished cleaning up the downstairs workshop. He had been so excited about actually going out on a real date with Julian, he even got up early, went into work early, cleaned up early, and was finished before Julian was likely even awake.
Picking it up, he raced out of the shop, smiling at his most precious elf on the way out. “Come on, Goldie-Red!” he called, holding the door open for her. “See you later, Knobby!”
It didn’t take him long to run through town and all the way down to Julian’s flat, his pooka at his side.
