RP: An Evening Walk

"Oh, yes, I am aware of that."

The smallest smile came to his lips.

"I doubt anyone could sway you if you did not wish to be swayed, Narcissa. And do not be concerned for me overmuch. I have dealt with Josephine for over four centuries, and there is little she can do that she has not already done."

Sanguini chuckled when Narcissa suddenly disappeared from view into the darkness. Raising an eyebrow, Sanguini followed her, his hearing and the fact that he could see in the dark making it relatively easy for him to give chase. He stopped in front of her when she paused at the staircase, and he grinned, baring his fangs.

"Trying to get away from me, darling?"

Sanguini smirked when she leaned forward, but raised an eyebrow in amusement when she suddenly disapparated up the stairs. He laughed softly and rushed up right next to her in a blur of speed.

"You'll have to be quicker than that to stay away from me, you know."

He bared his fangs playfully, smiling as he waited for her to make her next move.

Sanguini opened his mouth to respond when she Disapparated away again. He continued up the stairs, his quick footsteps echoing as he got up to the Observatory tower. He paused for a moment and listened, hearing her faintly breathing behind the telescope. He grinned to himself, surprised by this playful side of his friend, and stepped around the telescope, smirking.

"It was a challenge." He chuckled. "And you don't seem to have anywhere else to go."

"You know, I could blackmail you by threatening to inform people that you actually like having fun."

Sanguini smiled, looking up at where she was sitting. He made his way up to the seat near the scope and sat down behind her.

"You will have to show me how to work one of these things. I'm afraid I'm rather clueless in this case."

[shh_sanguini]

"You do have a point."

Sanguini grinned and leaned forward, peering over Narcissa's shoulder as she showed him the controls for the telescope.

"Are we looking for any particular constellation or star tonight or simply gazing where we wish?"

[shh_sanguini]

"I'm sure." Sanguini chuckled.

The vampire considered his choices for a second and then shrugged.

"Why don't we start with the largest? I am not really on expert on stars."

Sanguini watched her turn the wheel, feeling rather content. The tension that had been ravaging his mind when they had spoken of his sire had mostly faded, and now he was relaxing and simply having some fun with a friend.

Sanguini waited for her to properly align the telescope and moved forward once she moved aside in the seat. He sat down and peered through the eye-piece, smiling once he caught sight of the stars she had spoken of.

"They're beautiful." He said softly. "It must seem strange that I've never done this before, but I do very much regret not doing it sooner."
