Sanguini buttoned the last button on his crisp white shirt and glanced in the mirror once more before smiling at his reflection and leaving the bedroom. His trenchcoat was laying on the couch underneath the cat, who was slumbering quietly in his pleasantly warm nest of leather. Sanguini considered abandoning the coat, as he never had to worry about the cold, but the coat was the best way for him to carry about the flasks he usually liked to have on hand. One never knew when hunger would strike, and a starving vampire wandering the streets was an accident waiting to happen. So he carefully awoke Cheshire, who hissed in annoyance before jumping off of the couch and wandering into the bedroom to curl up on the vampire's bed. Sanguini brushed off the bit of fuzz that was on top of the coat and donned it, tucking the collar down.
He checked his pockets for his keys and his silver flask before leaving the basement and locking the door behind him. He went up to the first floor and exited the lobby, heading out onto the streets. The faint scent of the night air met his senses and he smiled, his footsteps nearly silent against the pavement.
