Rita was at her wits end with Henrietta's book. Sybill had been... cryptic and confusing, raising far more questions than she'd answered. Even worse than Ollivander, who at least made sense.
Ollivander. Who no doubt knew more than he was letting on, who could probably solve this whole mystery for her if he was so inclined. Well, she'd just have to go and ask again, wouldn't she? Ask the right questions. Ask them nicely. See what he had to say.
It was only mid afternoon when she made her way to the store - well within business hours - but oddly enough, she found the store closed. Her brows knitted in concern. Ollivander didn't close his store for no reason. Was he all right?
She tried the door and found it unlocked, despite the sign that proclaimed the store closed. "Ollivander?" she called softly, hearing her heels click against the floor as she stepped inside and closed it behind her.
He wasn't in the front room, nor turning wood or working, either. Nor was he in the kitchen. She found him in the parlour, completely oblivious, reading a book and... smoking a pipe.
Rita sniffed the air. And smirked. She paused in the doorway, leaned against the frame a moment. She didn't want to startle him.
"I see I didn't need to worry about why you'd closed up prematurely," she said by way of greeting.
