Rodolphus had been hovering between sleep and consciousness, laying on his bed with an unlit cigarette between his first two fingers when the owl started tapping at his window. He sat up awkwardly, feeling pain shoot through his temples as he got off of the bed and opened the window. The owl swooped in and Rodolphus took the letter tied around its leg. He unrolled it and scanned the elegant script written on the parchment. A faint smile coming to his lips, he searched his haphazardly arranged room and found parchment and a quill. He sat down on the edge of the bed and began writing.

Brother,

I would be honored to see you again and have dinner on Thursday. I hope you are doing well in your ventures as of late, and you will have to tell me all that has gone on when we see each other.
