George,

Of course the offer is still good.

That's an easy favour for me to grant, although you know it's not required for you to help me at all - you should be enjoying the movie with the crowd (well, I hope it's a crowd), opening night. I'll pick one of the movies that I'm going to show, and provide all the snacks.

How about we aim for later this week - once I'm done with the painting and everything? That way, you can get the full effect of the (finally) finished cinema.

George was relieved when he received Katie's return owl and didn't detect any annoyance of anything in it.

Katie,

Later this week sounds great. I can't believe I didn't realize how close you were to opening. Although I probably should have considering you mentioned going to get paint soon. If you need any help before we have our private showing let me know.

Plus if we do a private show I'll get to spend more time with you, and I'd like to help opening day. Its not like you have anyone working there other than you. Unless you hired people without telling me. Let me help. I'm sure you can make it up to me later if you feel like you need to it.

George,

I won't turn down an offer of free help, but you realize you're completely unqualified for what I need (and I mean that in the nicest way possible). Unless you've suddenly learned how to operate a popcorn maker, or projector, we might be stuck. Maybe we'll relegate you to moral support?

Although if you really want to help - start promoting the cinema by word of mouth. At least it will give the place some PR. I'm going to put up posters soon, but I don't want the opening to fall by the wayside.

And, you know you don't need a planned excuse to stop by, I'm always happy to see you.
