Ever since Remus had received the owl from Ginny, he'd been in a good mood. She had been one of the students who had made a real impression on him. Granted, some of it could have been due to his relationship with Molly and Arthur, but that didn't make a difference. He had always kept tabs on Ginny -- as much as he could.
Thus, seeing her in Bookworm the other day had been such a treat. For once, able to speak with her and not have to have the stress of the war on his shoulders. It had been a short meeting, hard to talk with so many people around. The owl had meant a lot to him. Just like Ginny's smattering of German had meant to Gilen.
Remus, taking Gilen into Exeter for the day, had purchased a nice bottle of wine to go along with dinner. Seemed like he and Gilen were going on more and more dinner dates as of late. And while Remus knew there was no impression to make, he still wanted to bring a bit of a gift.
At five to six, Remus Disapparted himself and Gilen to Observatory Hill and Ginny's residence. It was six exactly when he knocked on the door.
