As he stood in front of his mirror in trousers and tucked-in shirt, Roger did up his tie. Then undid it, then tied it again.

She nipped at his thumb; Roger followed the motion with his eyes and swallowed audibly. The contrast of her shyness and curiosity with little hints of playfulness was unbelievably arousing. He doubted that she knew how much. He felt her hands in his hair and closed his eyes, remaining still as she brushed his lips with hers again, then again, before increasing her pressure. "Mm-hmmm," he murmured in encouragement, though the sound came out as more of a moan when he felt her tongue at the seam of his lips.

His mouth opened slightly, and he hung back momentarily, not wanting her to feel pressured to just shove her tongue in his mouth. Go slow. He tried to focus, to breathe, as he spoke. "Just... keep your eyes closed, and let your tongue sort of feel your way around my mouth. Just explore, like this." He demonstrated on her, eyes shut, tongue slowly moving along her top lip, then her bottom one, then inside her mouth to the flesh just inside. Slowly past her teeth to find her tongue and flick against it. He pulled back, his breathing shallow.

"Try it, if you like," he whispered, "on me."

Did it make her horribly depraved to find the notion of Roger giving her instructions in the middle of their kiss somewhat, uh, arousing? It wasn't like the hand or hair thing, or even really the glove thing, which mostly appeared randomly when she couldn't sleep and let her mind drift places it really oughtn't, but it made her feel odd in that strange but good way that had her skin feeling warm and her belly doing flip flops.

She also liked the sounds he made. He was normally rather calm and quiet, thoughtful and intuitive, so hearing him make such noises, knowing she'd helped cause them, was a rather powerful feeling. She liked seeing these glimpses of his passion, even if she felt guilty knowing he was holding his back because she wasn't ready and because she was seeing someone else, too. Before she could start worrying over that again, he moved his tongue into her mouth and touched hers.

"Okay," she whispered, keeping her eyes closed as she followed his example.

He let her move her tongue around inside his mouth, focusing on the feeling for a few moments before sighing and starting to move his tongue in time with hers, striking an easy rhythm. Letting his hands move from her face, to her neck, her back, up into her hair as they kissed, he kept his touches light and his caresses gentle. Roger knew that he should probably slow down even further; he didn't want to scare or confuse her any more than she was.

A few minutes later, he pulled back, but stayed only inches from her face and rested his brow against hers. "Better?" he asked softly, unable to resist touching his lips to hers again.

Oh, this was quite nice, she decided when he began to move his tongue against hers. His hands were touching her lightly, just areas that he knew she was comfortable with being touched, so she didn't feel a wave of anxiety that he'd try to touch her somewhere that wasn't comfortable yet. She trusted him, though, or she'd not be sitting here pressed close while they kissed.

When he pulled back, she smiled. "Yes, better," she murmured, kissing him lightly. "Thank you." She brushed his hair back and kissed the tip of his nose and his cheek.

She moved her hand over his, entwining her fingers with his. "I think I could eventually develop an appreciation for poetry," she said, glancing up at him and smiling. She bit her lip and considered it before she kissed his jaw and rested her head on his shoulder. "Read me another?"

"Good," he said. "And thank you, for tonight. Being here with me. Though, for future reference, you don't have to thank a bloke for a snog. You made me feel good, too, so." He shrugged and settled back with her against him.

"Ah, I knew you would," he said, looking down and smiling at her. "I think I'm going to be a bit smug about that, just so you know." He picked up the book, flipping through and settling on one before he picked up her hand again, lacing his fingers through hers. He laid a kiss on her head before he started to read to her again.
