Summary: An invitation to dine
Completion: complete
Horace looked around his house with satisfaction. There was still the jungle in the basement to clear, but the rest of the place was finally shaping up into his type of home. He didn't plan on a proper housewarming until he was ready to show off his new laboratory, but it was well past time he repaid some of Ollivander's hospitality. He thought for a moment, then got out parchment and quill and began writing.
Ollivander,
Stoatshead Hill
Dear Ollivander,
I've just realised, with a good deal of dismay, that I haven't yet invited you round to my new digs, and have hardly seen you since I moved in. While I'm still not ready for a proper housewarming - there's a problem with the cellar I want to use as my laboratory - I now have the place habitable and furnished more or less to my liking, and have negotiated the services of a house-elf who is a reasonably good cook. Accordingly, I'd like to extend the offer of a meal whenever you might feel like coming round, as a small token of my thanks for the immense hospitality you showed me when I arrived in Stoatshead Hill.
I ought to be at home most of the time over the next couple of weeks - I may have some business locally, but there should be no difficulty in arranging it to suit your convenience.
Regards,
Horace Slughorn
