The week was nearly half over, and the 'To Do' list was still ridiculously long. Hermione had been working long hours again, telling herself it was temporary while she prepared the bookshop and focused on gaining some sort of profit for the press, but that didn't change the fact that she'd easily slid right back into eighteen hour days without any effort whatsoever. She was remembering to stop to eat, and had even taken a little time to visit with Roger on Monday and to have tea with Rita last night. She'd move back in with the boys by the end of the week, as there was little point in doing so when she was spending so much time in her office anyway.
When she realized that it was nearly time for her meeting with Blaise, she hastily finished up the last reply she had to make and sent Cliodna off with a stack of letters. A couple of the foreign agencies she'd originally contacted for help with the shelter were getting in touch, so she had placed replying to them priority in effort to not offend them and risk losing a donation. Now that that was caught up, she went to the toilet and then washed her hands. She looked pretty ragged, she noticed, though it was becoming a rather familiar look after years, so she supposed she might as well as get used to the circles beneath her eyes and the fact that she still wasn't gaining back the weight that used to make her more curvy and not so skinny, even when she was eating properly.
She shook her head and laughed softly, wondering if anyone else would get annoyed for not gaining weight or if it was just something else that made her odd. As she went downstairs, she lit a couple of extra candles when she noticed how dark the kitchen was. It was cloudy out, which was common, but everything seemed rather dismal today. The candlelight was nice, far less obnoxious than the blaring electric light that she tended to only use when working at night, and she murmured a warming charm on the room to ensure that it was pleasant by the time Blaise arrived.
