Cormac's head was pounding.
Shopping did not agree with him. He'd spent the better part of the morning and early afternoon in Exeter, trying to find the perfect presents for Colin and Romilda.
He'd found a sweater for Romilda, and a new camera case for Colin, but he wanted to do more. They were his family now, and Romilda especially needed cheering up after her run in with Smelly and Ugly.
He Apparated back to Stoatshead, his purchases shrunken and safe in his pocket. He sighed, and decided to check out some of the businesses around town for help. He didn't think either Romilda or Colin would need anything from the Quidditch Supply shop, but he spent a few minutes just looking at what they had, before moving on.
He was glancing down at the ground, so didn't notice the figure in front of him, until they'd collided.
