Enough was enough. Andy was in desperate need of some new medi-witch robes and possibly a couple of new everyday wear robes. She needed new clothes, that was for sure.

She stepped into Gilderoy's shop, impressed and a bit proud of him. When the last she'd seen him, he'd looked a bit lost, but now he looked to have found a purpose, something he obviously loved if the care of the shop was any indication. She looked around with a small smile when she came upon Gilderoy kneeling in front of a young man. It looked highly suggestive, but Andy knew that looks could be deceiving and this was a tailoring shop. She just didn't understand why Gilderoy hadn't taken the other man to the fitting rooms . . . unless there were no fitting rooms? That was a bit alarming, to be measured as everyone was coming in and out and in front of the window no less.

Andromeda cleared her throat. "Evening Gilderoy," she called out when the two men looked up.

Oh, sweet Merlin, and the horse that brought him to camelot.

Just as the young man was giggling with glee at Gilderoy's touch on his naked flesh, Andromeda Mediwitch came in and saved him. "Thank Merlin," he whispered under his breath.

Gilderoy stood and went over to her, pulling her into a tight hug. "Thank you," he whispered. That Cormac person certainly wouldn't be coming onto him with her around.

Realizing that he was hugging another potential customer, and it was not particularly appropriate behavior in a workplace, Gilderoy backed off and straightened himself out. "Ahem. Well, I believe I have only to get numbers to your waist, across the shoulders, and from your hip to ankle."

He went back over to Cormac and stayed on his posterior side. See if the man still thought about doing all of those naughty things to him while he couldn't even look at him. Still, it was sad the lengths he had to go to for the simple fact that he was far too attractive for his own good.

Cormac sighed in relief as someone new came into the shop. Maybe now the inappropriate touching would stop.

He was about to pick his shirt back up, when he felt a gentle touch on his backside.

He jumped, whirled around and glared at Lockhart. "Really, now, that's not all appropriate for the workplace!" he exclaimed.

He recognized the woman, the exceptionally attractive woman he realized, from the hospital but couldn't place her name.

He turned back to Lockhart, his best glare in place, and said, "Do you have enough meausurments?" he asked.

At first Andy was startled by Gilderoy's abrupt hug, stiffening in surprise even though her arms automatically went around him. And then his heart felt "thank you" made her wonder what the hell had been going on in here when she walked in.

But at the young man's yelps, Andy couldn't help but press the fingers of one of her hands to her mouth trying to suppress the giggle attempting to escape. In the end it was a futile gesture and she couldn't help the couple of giggles that got through her defenses.

They were both quite jumpy and even though it seemed as though Gilderoy was being professional, he looked a bit, well, ruffled. The young man was not taking his fitting well at all which surprised Andy a bit. Most boys were accustomed to tailor fittings at an early age due to a lack of mass manufacturing in the Wizarding world.

"I'm sorry, am I interrupting something? Shall I return later?" she asked schooling her features and voice into something a bit more polite than the giggling that had slipped out.

"No! Don't leave," Gilderoy called from across the room. I've... well, I haven't measured shoulders or back, but I should be able to make one reasonably close to the correct size based on what I have here."

He stood and looked down at his notes, constantly having to remind himself that it was a bad idea to glare or shoot nasty looks at a customer.

"Alright, Mr. McLaggen, I think I shall have something for you to try on early next week. Shall we say Monday?"

Setting his notes down on the counter, he went back over to the table where the robes had been set out. "Since it calls for black, I think I'll make it out of this twill, and line it with silk, if that's alright. The only other thing would be a method of payment. Do you have Muggle money, or...?"

Oh thank Merlin. "Yes, that's fine," he said shortly. "I'll be in after lunch on Monday, if that's alright?"

He reached into his pocket and drew out the crumpled Muggle bills. "Yes, I have some Muggle money. How much do I owe you?" He hoped it wasn't more than 75 pounds, as that's all he had left. "I also have some Ministry vouchers as well, and some Wizarding money I saved before Gringott's collapsed. I hadn't gotten around to depositing it yet. How you you prefer to be paid? We could do a combination, if what I have in one source isn't enough to cover three sets of robes."

"Now, what are these vouchers I keep hearing about? Mr. Macmillan was here earlier talking about them, as well."

Gilderoy thought about his animals and the need to feed them. That was his first priority in how to spend his profits, and it would have to be in the Muggle world that he acquired it. "I think fifty of your Muggle monies, and perhaps another ten galleons? OR maybe a few vouchers since galleons don't seem to be very popular these days."

He looked over at Andromeda, who seemed to be entertaining herself fairly well. She was here for something, as well. Maybe she would know how much he should charge for things.

"Does that sound fair, Andromeda? Fifty Muggles, ten galleons, and a few - say five - vouchers. I'm not quite sure the value of any of these things anymore, but I suppose in the older days, each robe would cost about eight to ten galleons, but then again, I have no idea what the voucher is going for these days, so..."

Andromeda looked up from where she was admiring one of the half finished frocks on display. "Well . . . before the war, ten galleons was about equivalent to fifty pounds if I'm recalling correctly. And no, I don't know how much the vouchers are worth either. I haven't had to use them yet, but I've seen them around the markets. If I'm getting this correct from what I've heard around the town, the vouchers are supposed to replace the galleons until they can build the galleon back up, so the vouchers would be, in theory, worth more correct? So perhaps you should negotiate with vouchers and Muggle pounds and when the galleon becomes worth something again, you can switch back over to that?"

So, the pieces of paper were worth more than the shiny gold galleons? Not bloody likely!

"I think... rather I don't think that those flimsy papers are worth quite as much as the galleons. What about sickles or knuts? Do you have any of those? Why, if they do end up being worthless, I could always use them as buttons."

Of course, Gilderoy had another reason for preferring the coin currency to the paper kind. After all, if he were to stuff those papers in his raisin jar, it was likely they would come out all stained and smelling like raisins. And if that were the case, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that they would attract owls, kneazles, or vermin. And that would be the last thing Gilderoy wanted to welcome into his new home.

"Galleons and Muggle monies are fine. And I would also appreciate it if you would let others know where you were able to obtain such fineries."

Hopefully the other men Cormac sent would be able to control themselves in a little more appropriate manner.

Cormac thought perhaps Mrs. Tonks had the better grasp of finances, but really, he was as in the dark as Lockhart apparently was.

"50 Muggle pounds, 10 Galleons and 6 Sickles seems fair," he said. "I could handle that." Barely.

He dug the money out of his pocket, and handed it over to Lockhart. "If it turns out it's not enough, I can always make up the difference with my next pay packet."

"So, they'll be ready for a fitting on Monday?"

"They'll be there for you on Monday, don't you worry about that," Gilderoy said, taking the money. With this much, he could buy feed for his animals.

He would definitely get them finished, and they would be some of the finest robes the man had ever seen, at that!

"Come by in the afternoon. I'm usually less busy then, and you can use the back room to try them on," he added, nodding and smiling to his favorite customer.

"Right, well, thanks," Cormac said, edging toward the door, just in case Lockhart got more ideas in his head. "I'll be back Monday. In the afternoon."

"Good bye," he said to Mrs. Tonks. "It was nice seeing you, and thanks for the help."

He gave a little wave and all but ran from the building.

He'd have to come back Monday for the fitting. Maybe he could drag Romilda or Colin with him as protection from Lockhart's advances.
