Characters: Alicia Spinnet, whoever else is around..
Location: Five Alarm.

Summary: Alicia throws herself into work to forget about Seamus.
Completion: Incomplete.

Work had been dreadfully boring and Alicia couldn't help but wish that she could go home. Although she'd signed on for extra shifts at Christmas to help cover Seamus' absence, she wished that she hadn't after hearing about little Sean and knowing that Seamus felt guilty about it.

The conversation with Mandy hadn't helped. She didn't like the girl much but more than that, she didn't like that the other witch knew Seamus better than her and that he had history with her. She felt threatened by it and felt that if Mandy thought she had a chance, she'd grasp it with both hands and pull.

Urgh.

She knew Rosmerta had briefed the staff on what had happened after she'd asked Alicia and shown her the letter she'd received from Seamus, asking her to explain. She had - reluctantly - and since then she'd remained tight-lipped about the subject, refusing to elaborate on it with anybody.

Sighing loudly and glaring at the bar, she frowned, knowing that she probably looked a little moody. Truth was, she felt a little moody. Well, a lot moody. Forcing a grin onto her face, she reminded herself that she shouldn't be moping about. Sean wasn't her cousin and Seamus wouldn't need a moody girlfriend when he returned.

If he does.

No. When.

You're so sure, are you?

I- I..

I thought as much.

The smile slipped from her face as she reached for her rag and mopped up non-existent drink rings, trying to focus on anything but Seamus.
