There were piles of gifts around Hermione, and she wasn't entire sure where to start. Cliodna was looking at the stacks with distaste, obviously aware that she'd be flying her little owl arse off today. Hermione set aside the gifts for the Weasleys, as she'd be seeing them on Christmas day. She had already sent Mr. Robards, Neville, Snape, Viktor and Maire their gifts, fortunately.
It was amazing how much money and effort was put into a holiday that lasted just a day. True, she had quite a few people that she thought should receive a gift that probably wouldn't expect one, but she wouldn't have felt quite right to let the holiday pass without some sort of acknowledgement. Once again, she had to be very thankful that she'd found some nice sales and done her shopping before Ron's aviary disaster.
After she had everything sorted, she began writing out brief holiday wishes and prepared everything to be sent off with Cliodna.
