"I'd say polar opposites was a good term. I only vaguely remember you, honestly, as I had little use for Quidditch except in regards to the boys, nor was I overly impressed by a pretty face or other such girly nonsense," she said with a slight grimace. "You've depth now, though, so perhaps it's best that I don't recall those days of yore."
"Very dodgy. I don't think I know the meaning of that word. Recreation, you say? And it's supposed to replace work? The very idea!"
Hermione shifted and looked down at the copy, fully aware that her cheeks had warmed slightly. Of course, Roger had no idea that she had a fondness for swimming naked, as not even the boys realized that as she'd often snuck away to indulge that rather daring, to her, at least, act. She looked up at him and smiled slightly. "Yes, it must be my element."
She pushed her hair away from her face and listened curiously. "I used to run in the morning sometimes," she told him. "I've never been particularly athletic by any means, but it was a nice way to start the day. Can't do that anymore, though, so I usually take a walk or just sit and watch the sunrise."
"If you've a need for new books, I don't mind letting you borrow something of mine. I've not been able to really have a collection in many years, but I'm making up for lost time whenever I have the opportunity. I have a few titles that are Muggle fiction, and there will be a nice selection in the store once we open," she told him.
She laughed and shook her head before she started on the fourth copy. "I suppose that just means we'll have to embrace our boringness and be glad that we're not alone."

Whilst a few years ago Roger would likely have probed Hermione a bit on the "pretty face" comment, he only smiled faintly now. "I remember you a bit more, actually," he told her. "You were Krum's date to the Yule Ball. And, er. Well, you did have some amount of notoriety around school." He didn't elaborate, as she'd hardly have needed clarification.
"I have depth, do I? I think I can live with depth." Roger enjoyed the way she squirmed in her seat still, about the water, and fussed with the papers. He wondered why she should be smiling so shyly about it.
"Ah." He nodded, not asking questions about why Hermione couldn't run. Perhaps she'd had an injury, although he'd not noticed her favoring either leg when she walked. "The sunrise is beautiful. I try to wake before it if I can help it, so I can see it."
"I'm always looking for more titles to check out," he told her. "There's so much on the Muggle side of literature I've missed, so that would be great."
Laughing again, Roger took the finished third copy and set it to the side of the table. "Yes, I suppose it does. I find there's no real use fighting it."
