Date: Backdated to December 5, 2004 Character(s): Millicent and Justin Location: Justin's Flat Status: Private Summary: It's never fun to drink alone. Completion: Complete
There was a downside to drinking as often as she had done over the years. A quick walk and you were almost sober again.
It felt nice to walk arm in arm with a man, however. She wasn't used to men being willing to be seen out with her, not to a man who opened doors and asked how she was. A part of her wondered what a man like him wanted with her, but she forced herself to push that feeling away.
It was just drinks.
She resisted the urge to answer 'the strongest you have' on his question, and instead smiled at him again.
'Anything you're having will be fine,' she said softly while removing her cloak. There, even daddy wouldn't have disapproved of that one, she thought as she followed Justin into his flat.
"Alright," he replied, motioning to a hook for her cloak. "You can hang it there, if you'd like."
He returned her smile and reached for her hand, leading her into the other room. Releasing her hand, he opened the liquor cabinet, looking to see what he had. "Rum, whiskey, vodka, scotch...You name it, it looks like we've got some in here."
He pulled out the rum for himself and glanced over his shoulder. "Are you sure there's nothing in particular you'd like?"
Millicent nearly shied at the touch of his hand, not really used to it, but the hand was warm and soft and she surprisingly found that she didn't want to let go. She was nearly a bit disappointed when he did.
She soon forgot all about his hand, however, when she saw the contents of his liquor cabinet. She watched in approval as eh pulled out a bottle of rum. It was strong enough, she decided, happy that it wasn't wine or something equally soft.
'Rum sounds wonderful,' she said, eying the room for a place to sit.
"Great," he replied with a grin, reaching for a couple of glasses and turning to the freezer for some ice. That done, he tucked the bottle under one of his arms and held the glasses in one hand. His free hand went to the small of her back.
"Living room's right through there," he said, moving towards it. "I figure the couch is more comfortable than the kitchen chairs..." His hand fell from her as he set their glasses on the coffee table and sat down, opening the bottle and pouring them each a drink. "And like I said- if there's anything you want or need...Just let me know, okay?"
The feeling of his hand on the small of her back made her shiver, the alcohol heightening her senses. As she sat down she could think of several things she wanted and needed - potions, more alcohol, someone to think she was pretty.
She pushed the last thought from her mind. She knew very well that would never happen.
'A drink is just what I need right now, thank you,' she said, her voice dropping to the low sultry tone she got when she was a bit nervous or feeling shy. She took the offered glass and smiled at him.
He noticed her slight shiver and he bit his lower lip, thinking it might be best not to comment on it. He smiled at her as she took the glass and picked up his own.
"You're welcome," he replied, his mouth suddenly dry. Heaven help him, he liked that low tone of her voice. He shook it off and took a sip, leaning back on the couch. Just because he hadn't had any in a long time- well, it didn't mean he had to get riled up just because a girl was drinking with him. It was just a couple of drinks.
At least, that's what he told himself. He refused to think about him maybe wishing it might end up being something more.
They drank in silence, Millicent mostly because she didn't know what to say, but she also liked the silence. For some reason it wasn't too tensed - or rather the tension was rather pleasant.
'You're lucky you've found such a well filled cabinet,' she said softly, still feeling a bit nervous even if she couldn't really understand why. Unbeknown to herself she started to finger her hair, her hand brushing against her breast without her noticing.
"I'm lucky I found this place at all," he said, looking about. "Whoever lived here before left quite a bit, actually."
His gaze stopped when he saw her hand skim her breast. He blinked before quickly downing the rest of the rum in his glass and reaching for the bottle to pour them each another.
"You know, you're very pretty," he commented. "Can I kiss you?"
Justin didn't drink often, so it only took a few drinks before he started saying just about anything on his mind. He realized a little bit late just what he'd said and he blushed. "I mean. Um." He took another sip of his drink, looking down at the floor- or rather, anywhere but at her.
Millicent nearly choked on her drink, too shocked at what he'd said to react. Blinking both once and twice she tried to make sense of it. Was there a problem with his eyes? Was he lying? He didn't seem to be lying, he seemed too embarrassed.
'Yes.'
The answer came on its own, but Millicent knew she wouldn't mind. A small voice in the back of her mind was squealing, another one doubting. Millicent blocked them both out as she watched Justin look up at her.
It was Justin's turn to nearly choke on his drink. Oh. Oh! Okay. He set his drink down on the table and turned toward her. He smiled a little before leaning forward, lightly brushing his lips against hers.
The kiss was light and soft and sweet - not at all what Millicent was used to. She leaned into the kiss, allowing Justin to take the lead even as her body craved to deepen the kiss.
She sighed happily and moved closer, her thigh brushing against Justin's and sending jolts of electricity through her body.
She leaned in, and Justin brought a hand up to take her glass from her hand, moving it to the table- never breaking the kiss. Her thigh brushed his and his breath momentarily caught.
His hand came up to cup her cheek as his mouth opened slightly to deepen the kiss.
A soft moan slipped from Millicent's lips as Justin deepened the kiss. His hand on her cheek was so soft, and the kiss so unlike anything she'd even felt - which was saying a lot.
Without thinking she moved her hand, letting it rest on Justin's thigh.
A jolt of pleasure shot through him when he felt her hand on his thigh. He scooted just the tiniest bit closer to her, his free hand moving to rest at her knee.
This was nice. He wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or the fact that he hadn't kissed anybody like this in years, really- or maybe something else entirely. The hand at her cheek slid back to tangle his fingers in her hair and he nipped at her lower lip.
It was impossible to kiss Justin like this and not press up closer to him, not when her body was craving the closeness, when her mind needed to be put at ease.
Gilderoy might not want to marry her, but Justin seemed to want her at least.
She gasped when his teeth tugged her lip and tentatively moved her hand slightly higher up his thigh.

His tongue traced her lower lip, and he felt much of his blood go south when her hand moved on his leg.
