Minerva looked up as she heard the knock on the door. She was knee deep in a pile of homework that she had set for her class. The answers were interesting, and she wasn't expecting much work from the students, but she wanted to instill a homework habit quite early with the students.

For just a moment she frowned at the tall black man with a mess of dreadlocked hair standing at the door. But when he smiled, she recognised that cheeky grin. It had been far too long. "Well, well, well, Mr Jordan. What a lovely surprise. Do come in, won't you. I need a diversion from all these essays."

Coming in Lee gave Professor McGonagall a smile. "I heard the bell, you have a school? How long has everyone been here?" Lee was curious because the town didn't quite have that established feeling to it.

"I'm glad to be of assistance in diverting you from such a task." He took a good look at her. "How are you doing?"

"Oh yes! We have a school - it's only temporary, but we hope to get the young ones back into good educational habits. We'll get them into a real school soon enough!"

Minerva had always had time for Lee and his honest larrakin attitude. "I'm not sure I remember a time when you haven't been causing some sort of diversion, Mr Jordan," she added with a fond smile.

"Well, as you can see, I'm doing as well as can be expected for... now what was it you called me that time... the old windbag."

She conjured a plate of shortbreads and teacups. "So, what really brings you here this evening, Lee? Is this truly a social call, or am I to put my head of house hat on?" If anything, Lee only ever truly came to her door when he had a real problem, and she could see that behind the jovial facade, he was puzzled by something.

Lee sat and laughed as she reminded him just how much of a brat he had been.

"It's good to hear of the school and actually I came hoping you might have some advice for me, or at least a suggestion." He smiled and looked down.

"I'm going at this backwards. Sorry Professor." Picking up a cup of tea and a shortbread he took a bite and a sip and then tried again.

"I've only been in town a few days, well you were at Katie's party when I showed up. I'm kind of at a loss for what to do. Did you know I went to University? I had almost got my degree when my father was killed and I joined the fighting. I haven't had this much time on my hands in a while, and I thought that you being you," he nodded respectfully at her, "would know of something."

There he had said it and not babbled on like a first year whining about home, he hoped.

"Good heavens," she replied with a snort. "You really haven't changed very much." She said with an enigmatic look on her face as she slowly sipped her tea. Lee did have a slightly lazy streak, and Minerva could see that some things had not changed.

She could see that he looked a little confused. "Albus Dumbledore was fond of telling everyone that we always had to choose between what is right, and what is easy. I think you've always taken the easy path. I could tell you what to do, Lee, but I don't even know what you're good at -- what you've been up to."

"You say you've been at University, hmmm? Why don't you tell me what you enjoy doing -- your own strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps between us we can then determine how you can make yourself most useful."
