The emergency ward was oddly silent tonight. She'd heard from other mediwitches on night shift while she'd been on days that the nights following the break-in of Hestia Jones's shop had been insane, worse than after the break in at the Five Alarm. They'd warned her that she might be run ragged, but here she was on her second night doodling at the mediwitch station. She sighed and stood, tossing down the quill. "I'm going to see if one of the other wards needs help," she told the shift supervisor. She nodded without barely glancing up from her clipboard and Andy left without another word.
