Completion: Complete
Severus wanted his damned books back. He'd
left them at Remus Lupin's house last week and at first he had every intention of leaving them there. He wasn't about to go back and have another blasted cup of tea with the man. The books weren't that important, and even if he'd been aching to read them, he could always go into the Muggle world and purchase them. Well, steal them, as he didn't have any Muggle money.
He cursed under his breath as he Apparated to Lupin's house. It wouldn't be worth the risk. All he had to do was break into Lupin's home, steal the books back for himself...
No, that wouldn't work either. He stood on Lupin's front walk. The bastard would know he'd done it-- well, would know Gerent had done it-- and Severus wasn't pleased with the idea of his "amiable" (or as amiable as Snape could manage being) alter-ego being suspected of breaking and entering. He couldn't owl and ask for them, either, as he didn't want the man to know where he lived. And that meant he had only one option if he wanted the books back. Steeling himself, he downed thefirst of three doses of Polyjuice he'd brought. He marched up to the front door and rapped sharply three times.
