Summary: Rebecca Secord is more than a little dubious at the thought of taking in one last foster child, especially now that she and her husband are both retired. But something about Claudia Donovan has caught Jack's attention - something that, as it turns out, they're almost uniquely qualified to help her get set right.
Timeline Notes: This story uses my Now-Nonstandard Claudia Timeline, wherein she was 22 at the time of her first appearance on the show and 10 when Joshua disappeared, putting that in 1997. Relative to Rebecca and Jack, I'm basing dates off "Where and When" and "Burnout"; I also bumped "Where and When" forward a day, as it turns out August 20, 1961 was a Sunday. (Perhaps needless to say, this does not take last night's episode into account - I now find my chosen posting date hilarious - but you can slot it in between bits of the story, if you want.)
