Only English even if I'm studying Italian now?
OK. I use duolingo so my English will be upgraded also I hope. Many years ago my English quite good but I used it too frequently. So it's difficult to speak fluently now. I want to improve the situation.

There are two different maraphons now in this society, and this one is English only. Another one is for studying any other language.

My name is Daria, my English is quite good, because I need it for my job. What helped me a lot was watching movies in their original languages and reading a lot of English books, blogs and articles. Hopefully I can be of help for other participants with commentaries and translations, but I really suck at explaining rules and grammar. Good luck to everyone!

I don't have a favorite blog, it depends on what I'm currently interested in - minimalism, art, organized life, books, etc. I just google necessary topic and then follow links I met. As for movies, it was of much help to watch series about everyday life like The Sex and the City or Desperate Housewives, 'cause you hear everyday language, intonations and how expressions are used by ordinary people of different origins.

Hello Sasha!

i think it's good that you at least started to learn english as every language opens different doors.

As you have elementary level maybe you can star using duolingo to raise your vocabulary? and on Mondays i can post additionally some homework for your level?

Hi! My name is Maria! I just really like English and most of another languages :) But know well only this international language. I like travelling so I have to speak English often and do it with pleasure! 3 years ago I've passed an exam - FCE (First Certificate in English) to prove myself that I can do it, for a half a year before I was learning English in small group in Education centre Globus in my hometown. I learn and use English only for my pleasure :)

Hello Maria!

I was also thinking to get any certificate- to have real proof of my knowledge. When I spoke with my friends, they said that fce is too low and take cae ;) at the end- i don't have any certificates. but i downloaded books for fce and can give sometimes material for grammar from there.

That's why it calls "First"))
I have also lots of material for upper-intermediate and FCE
Once again, I did it only for myself, I enjoyed the process =) We had the best teacher ever. Oh, I hope one day I will continue to study with him.
