And there's not enough room in this world for my bad mood

I am in the worst mood ever! This mood has been brewing for the last four days and finally came to a head yesterday in a perfect storm of impatience and irritability. Tracy said to me, "In the six years I've worked with you I've never seen you like this." It's a good thing she has quick reflexes because daggers flew out of my eyes and nearly pinned ( Read more... )

It's post-Halloween let-down. I'm totally with you on the bad mood thing. But then again, when am I not?

How was your Halloween anyway? What was the little one's costume?

Yeah, I've been sitting here radiating pissyness and thinking, I bet this is how saint_louise feels all the time. You're just a whole lot better at keeping it in check, or at least hiding the trail of casualties.

My Halloween was uneventful. Madi wanted to be a corpse bride but couldn't find a wedding dress she liked well enough to ruin, so she was a woodland fairy. The kids got to wear their costumes to school but I wouldn't let her take her wings so she told everyone she was a fairy who had her wings chopped off in a horrible accident. I didn't do anything for Halloween. I didn't even dress up this year.

How about you? What was Tay?

It's really effing sad that my standard mood is "annoyed." I'm such fun! The upside is that people don't say idiotic things like, "Feeling better today?" to me. So I punch them in my head for no reason. 'Cause that's just cheery.

Tay was a pirate. I have pictures that I keep meaning to post, but I haven't been motivated enough to get them off of my camera and resize them and some junk.

And for the record: What Madi told people about her costume at school? IS THE BEST. She rules.

The worst part about being in a bad mood at work one day, is the next day. When everybody comes up to you and puts their arm around you and asks so sweetly, "Are you feeling better today?" In my head I punch them.

No kidding! As if you liked being touched when you're not in a bad mood. Too bad you can't punch them in real life. That would rock. After you punch them in the head you can say, "Yes, I'm feeling much better now, thanks." I think you should start doing that. I bet it will catch on.

Too true. I've been trying to balance it out with candy corn. That's made from vegetables, right?

It was a joke. JOKE.

I'll refrain from sarcastic humor when communicating with my friend of 18 years from now on.

Yes do. The way I've been sucking up negative energy I should be able to reach across the pond, no problem. And since I'm all the way over here I'll have an alibi. ;)
