Nibble nibble little mouse

A few days ago I was woken up by the scritchy scritchy scratch of what sounded like a mouse in the corner of my room. I had the dogs with me so I told Sammy to go check it out and scare the mouse away. He looked at me and said he was too tired and it was too cold and he burrowed deeper under the covers. This is the thanks I get after throwing his ball until my arms fall off. Pogo sat shaking next to me so I didn't even ask him. I wouldn't want him to get his pretty little dress dirty.

I hate mice, so I spent yesterday and today cleaning up all my papers and clothes and putting them in mouse proof storage containers. While I was cleaning everything looked intact, and I didn't find any mouse erm... evidence. Still, I haven't set any traps. I'm not sure which is worse, hearing the scritchy scritchy scratch of a mouse or hearing the SNAP! of a trap under my bed.

ETA: I checked all over the upstairs again this morning, and still no proof of mice. So now I'm thinking it was probably the fan blowing on an old sketch pad. But everything is mice now. The computer cords on my feet = mouse. Pogo's nails on the hard wood floor = mouse. Sammy's ball thrown in the air = flying mouse. I'm calling the Bug Man today to come set some bait and give me peace of mind.
