Help me prove that there's more than just quilters in St. Louis...

Jackman's Fabrics is hosting a really fun and interesting event to showcase a brand-new kind of sewing machine.

The event will have a Japanese theme, so if you missed the Missouri Botanical Gardens' Japanese Festival, consider coming out and making a gift bag!

It will be on September 19th at the Illinois store, and September 20th at the Lindbergh store.

Here is a link to my journal post on the subject.

The new machine is a "Sashiko" machine, which makes hand-stitches with one thread. It's brand new and the only one of its type!

The event is $20 which includes lunch and a $10 coupon good that day.

I want to prove to the Powers That Be that there are Fashion and Costume makers in the St. Louis area; not just grandmothers who quilt. Jackman's does carry pleather, vinyl, and rich fabrics like velvet and ultrasuede. Feel free to pick out something amazing for your next club outfit!
