A First Financial nightmare......consumer beware !
Ok, so my son got a credit card from this horrible company called First Financial when he turned 18. He had a decent paying job at the time and then unexpectedly he lost it. I don't remember the details but they hardly matter. Do NOT I repeat NOT EVER get a card from them. I know he has a bill to pay, but darn it, I am his mother NOT his wife ! I am in NO WAY responsible, and refuse to pay it off for him. They call and sit there quietly on the other side of the phone when you answer. (OH and BTW they call at dinner, first thing in the morning and right before the time limit is about to expire for calls, which I believe the law says 8 p.m. but First Financial says they go by their State's time not PA's !) If we had the time to go to the attn. general's office and file a complaint my son would have done so by now. After they sit there quietly, if you hang up, they call right back. If you don't hang up and say hello several times, scream in their ear, blow a whistle, cuss or push random keys on your phone they will wait until "you" pause in your frustration to see if they are still there, and they will be all calm saying something like "hello, hello, is anyone there?" They constantly call me by my son's name to try and tick me off, and I have even gone as far as to say "do I sound like a freakin' man? Today I cut the guy off after he finally said hello back to me (after three consecutive phone calls with no response when I answered)told him I was not going to talk to him, that I was sick of his f bomb ing crap ! Oh, this is so not like me. It takes me a LOT to get to this frustration level. I guess they figure harassment is ok. I told my son when he got home tonight that he better pay them off soon because I can't take it anymore ! He can either pay them or find an apartment, get a phone of his own, and they can drive him mad for $200.00 ! Yes, I did say that. $200.00 ! So thank you dear friends if you read this the whole way through. And rem. NEVER deal with those people.
