Surgery went well. All the cyst, cystic tissue, and scar tissue has been removed and I'm all stitched and bandaged up.
The place where the surgery was done was pretty nice, and, aptly named The Surgery Center. Before I went into surgery I had my own private room with comfy chairs and a tv, which was nice and not something that I have ever had before when going in for surgery. Then the nurse came in, followed by my doctor and the anesthesiologist, who let me choose if I wanted to be knocked out or not. I told him that I wanted to watch. Then he explained that I could, but that he had to knock me out for a few minutes so the doctor could numb the area and cut me open. But after that I woke up and they let me watch and showed me what they removed. The cyst was bigger than both I and the doctor expected and there was a fair amount of cystic tissue and scar tissue to remove also.
Then I went to recovery where they gave me juice and kept asking me how I felt (which was fine, not dizzy or anything) and taking my vitals. And then 10 minutes later I was being released to my roommate.
