Doctors appt
In no particular order...things I learned today from my orthopod/hand surgeon:
1) Roughly (only) 10% of cysts, once surgically removed, come back...guess where I fall?
2) She has never seen a cyst re-occur in the hand...strike 2 - she, btw, was very shocked and also kind of excited about making this point
3) After having a cyst removed, there really is no other option for dealing with a re-occurrence other than surgery
4) There could possibly be more than 1 cyst and is probably some "cystic tissue" in that area of my hand...she will be removing all of this and making sure that my tendons are okay.
...so surgery is scheduled for June 15th.
In other news, the Red Wings are going to make me cry. They are not playing well tonight.
