My neighbors
I don't think that I have told you all about my new neighbors yet. let me do this in a pro/con format, comparing them to the old neighbors.
Pro -
~the people that live above me do not routinely drop, what can only be described as, bowling balls. (the former neighbor used to drop something heavy and loud at least once a day, usually twice)
~I only share 1 wall with another apartment, which means that I don't hear other people's phones ring, or their tv's
~when someone cooks something that smells gross, of uses incense the smell does not seep into my apartment
~Since I only share 1 wall, I also have windows on the 3 other walls (though not about my neighbors, it's still a pro)
~there are no sorority girls in my building
~there is a tree right outside 2 of windows, giving me birds and squirrels as my furry neighbors
~carpet
~2 heating/cooling units (1 in the bedroom, 1 in the living room)
Con -
~the people above me have very squeaky floors and are, I'm fairly sure, stalking me because they always seem to walk across the squeakiest places right as I'm about to fall asleep
~they also pace a lot over the squeakiest places
~sometimes, if they are having a big fight, I can hear them (although this could be the people that I share a wall with)
~the neighbors use a lot of incense, so the hallway smells often
~the neighbors still have a young child that they let play in the hallway unsupervised at all hours of the day
~the kid doesn't know English, so trying to play with him or get passed him the hallway can be difficult
