I had a moment

So I had this moment today...I was sitting by the Potomac River, studying for econ, out in the sun, and it finally sunk in that I'm in DC. It was all of a sudden I was just like "i can't believe I live here." Then I went walking around downtown (I have an interview tomorrow and wanted to see where this place was) and I was passing all these beautiful old buildings and seeing all these organizations and companies that have offices here and it hit me again. "I can't believe I live here." But it's so much more than just that. I can't believe that I made the choice to move across the country and that I ended up in DC. Until I signed the check to GW, I was almost completely sure that I was going to go to Indiana University. It's a great school, number 2 program in the country. It was a perfect fit for me. It was also the safe choice.

So I not only can't believe that I went for the less safe choice; but that it landed me in some place that I am starting to really like. At least nature and architecture wise. The people could use some time in San Francisco becoming 1)less preppy 2)less bitchy 3)less conservative and 4)less judgmental; but other than that, it's pretty okay here.
