There's a proliferation of new students lately, thanks to that other school handily...uh, burning down. Some of the long-term residents of St. Jude's might be wondering what the hell is going on!
This one is a late arrival, consisting of a slouchy teenaged girl currently occupied on, for some reason, the floor, back pressed against someone's locker. Someone's locker that is decidedly not hers, although she didn't really think about it much when she sprawled out here. Her legs are stretched out in front of her, thus neatly taking up more of the hallway than she really has a right to, and she has elected to show up in the khaki shorts and white button-up combination rather than bothering with the uniform skirt. She's still not very comfortable in it, though.
It's a study hall, but she's not in one of the classes, apparently, and therefore is loitering in the hallway. She has an open book in her lap that was originally from a public library in Florida, but has since been claimed for her purposes (read: 'stolen' is perhaps a better word than 'claimed,' yes), and therefore the margins are all full of notations. Currently there is no reading being done, however; her eyes are closed. Maybe she's asleep. Maybe not. Either way, she is certainly doing her damnedest to take up half the hall, despite not being a very tall girl.
