okay so i saw incubus last night. bobby and i went to see SPARTA for the most part. they rocked but unfortunately their drummer broke his wrist and the incubus drummer and bass player had to fill in drums for him. so their lineup was limited and short. great anyhow =P incubus on the other hand played for 2 hours! and might i say that they put on a

not to offend you sir....but:
first off, their drummer has a broken wrist, so they were playing with fill ins. if you ever heard their actual drumming its freaking great. They played maybe 4 songs off their new album, none of the old stuff. Now i will agree that their new album is not as good as the older one, but its still good in its own right. Maybe you should give them a listen before you make judgement on a band thats up on stage putting their heart into something. Or maybe do a little research and find out from where sparta comes from?

"I've never heard them before, but I could tell everytime where the chorus was coming up and what the next verse would be and it's arrangement. Every song followed that, absolutely no originality or thought was put into anything I heard from that band and it was bad enough to the point where me and Rae left the show for awhile till they got off."

That sounds a bit hypocrytical to me. Have you ever heard of a band called Incubus? Dont get me wrong, i love incubus, but their lyrics are repeated 14 times before the song is over. When can you NOT tell when the chorus or the next verse is going to be? I would accredit that to being a part of why they are so popular.

so music is your life....i can say that for me, i have played music in a band, i have written music in a band, and i have performed music in a band. it's not easy. So for someone to get up on stage infront of thousands of people and put their heart into something, even if people dont like it...now that's respect. If someone can record an album, and then perform that album and sound just as enjoyable if not more, thats even more respect. Maybe you should give sparta a listen, or dont.

well i appritiate the fact that you had enough respect to check them out after the show and you recognize their effort put forth. I wasnt meaning to put you down at all, and yes incubus rocks due to their wide range of sounds and melodies. I just get irritated with people who disrespect artists just because they dont enjoy their music.
