The amazing commedienne Mollie Sugden died today at the age of 86. She had a long and distinguished career but is best remembered as the snooty Mrs Slocombe from the BBC series "Are You Being Served?":

Indeed another in a long string of sad days. I could never decide between Mrs. Slocombe or Mr. Humphreys as to who was my favorite character...they both had such perfect timing and deadpan delivery of rather outrageous characters.
