Well, interesting thing. I got another ATM card today. I guess the other order came in. Well, that's okay, because this one has nicer writing on it. My name is in gold, not like the other one you could barely see, because the gold machine must not have been working that day.
I just think it's cool how things work out sometimes. When I got the first card the other day, I was just about to get up and run out the door to go to the bank to activate it, but I got a little lazy, and never ended up going. I felt really bad about it. I didn't need it right then or anything, but just to get it done. But now today, I get another envelope, and open to find another card. Well, I'm going to go ahead and take this one in tomorrow, because I doubt I'll get a third one. But you never know.
Ashleigh is a babe. WOO!! I called her today, and I guess she was on the phone and couldn't talk. That was okay, because I understood, but it just kinda sucks, because I didn't get to talk to her at all today. My sister took my phone for a while, but she didn't go too far with it. So I'm sure I would've still gotten her call, but maybe not.
I know I should really be finding another job, but this World War II game I have is so cool! I'm really growing a thing for WWII stuff. I mean, the war itself was aweful, just like any war, but I just like the time. I found myself watching old movies about it. They barely had color, but I was watching them. I normally don't purposely watch old movies, but some of them are good. None I'd really want to buy, but still. Saving Private Ryan would still have to be my all-time favorite WWII movie. Anyone else know any good ones? Even though I've gotten bad reviews on it, I think I still need to see Pearl Harbor. It was supposed to be so good, but people said it was bad.
Ashleigh got me this other WWII game, and it's pretty darned cool. Where in Call of Duty (the first game) it's kinda scripted and you don't get to play around too much with it, because it's like a movie, but still really good. Battlefield 1942 is a bit different in the fact that everything is free, as in, no script, but there are other things I don't like about it. One thing I do like is the vehicles. You could use a few in Call of Duty, but pretty rarely. This one is full of them. You can drive the landing craft up to Omaha Beach, lower the ramp and watch all your passangers get blown to bits. There are jeeps, tanks, planes, boats... just about everything. Another thing I like is the different types of infantry you can be. Scout/Sniper, Assault, Medic, Engineer (who can lay mines and plant explosives) Anti-Tank (guy with a rocket launcher) etc, etc. The main bad side to the game, in my opinion, is that the AI is pretty lame. It's not always too bad, because they can still find plenty of ways to shoot me (from a mile away) but sometimes I can be standing right next to them (the enemy) and it's like I'm not even there. Other times, I can find them trying to run through a wall, and I have to push them to the edge so they'll actually be going some where. And lastly, I don't like how you can't damage guys too easily. I can take a sniper rifle, put two shots in someones head, and he'll still be running around. There is one more thing I don't like, but it's not really the games fault (I don't think) but every time I complete the first campaign mission, the game not only crashes, but the computer restarts itself. It's happened atleast 15 times, and there is no tech support for it. No answers, atleast. (well, I haven't call them yet) That's okay though, because I can do Instant Battles, which as far as I know, is the same thing.
I'm still hooked on Call of Duty Multiplayer though. They fixed the bunny hopping problem (where people would jump around you to avoid being shot) by making it so the second time you jump, you barely go anywhere unless you settle down for a second, which would sure make them an easier target for the rest of them. The other one problem I had were TKers (TeamKillers) but there isn't much more they can do about that. One thing I thought was kinda cool, but turned out to really suck, were the sniper rifles. They made it so when you look into the scope, it wasn't a perfect zoom in, but you were a little off where you were looking a second ago. But with some experimentation, I found that it never puts you anywhere near where you were looking at. So it makes it next to impossible for you to find the target you were just looking at. There was an enemy soldier sitting in one spot for five minutes, an easy kill, if I were just able to find him in my scope. I tried 50 times, but I couldn't find him, and I think I ended up getting killed.
Now if they made it to where the more you were moving, or standing, or unsteady you were, the worse your aim would be, that'd be fine, but you could be laying down, slowly aiming, and still you'd end up a million miles away from where you wanted to be.
You know what? I miss Ashleigh. I haven't seen her in a while, as she was working night shifts, and I'm not sure if I'll get to see her soon or not. I mean, if she works until 6 tonight, and gets the 8 hours she should be getting, that puts her waking up at 2pm. Even though I'd be willing still, I don't know if she'd want to. Whichever. As long as we get to see 50 First Dates soon. That was the plan for Valentine's Day, but we decided against it. I kinda want to go all out though. Maybe go early to get the cheaper show, but then get popcorn, and pop, and candy, or something. And cuddle during the movie, and everything!! :) :) Awww... I hope we do that next time we see each other!
But speaking of Valentine's Day, I need to get her something else, because she went all out on me, and my parents kinda convinced me not to spend too much because it was only Valentine's Day. But not I feel horrible. I'm sure she'd say not to get her anything, but it's not only for her, it's for me. The movie was supposed to be part of that, since I'm paying for it, but even after that, I'm still less. It's not about the money, I think I was lacking in thought too. I couldn't remember what we did last year, so I didn't know how much to give. I was way off though. I love her way more than what I got her. :( :( I'm so bad...
She got me this little monkey. It's so cute! hehehe Gosh, everything that comes from her is so cute! I can't wait until we have kids!! :D
Reminder to self....get an oil change. Your oil looks ugly. Ewww...
