So now that paper checking is out of the way, I'm enjoying the next few days I have to relax before I have to MORE academic stuff in preparation for the upcoming school year.
I'm supposed to have fanfiction up here by now, but seriously: it has been crazy. Entries (or the lack thereof) over at my RL journal can attest to this. In the meantime, here's a quick announcement.
I will be joining
NaNoWriMo this coming November for the third year this year (you can find my profile
over here if you want to add me or something~), but UNLIKE my past two projects, this one will be a fanfic for KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN!:
RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Yamamoto Takeshi and Gokudera Hayato built their relationship on the premise that Yamamoto could take whatever Gokudera threw at him, the first and foremost being the fact that Gokudera is always going to love the Tenth and might never love Yamamoto. Yamamoto thought he could live with it back then, and quickly discovered that he couldn't.
Nearly a decade later, Yamamoto has come back to the Vongola Family for two reasons:
1.) The Tenth is getting married.
2.) Gokudera needs someone to help him pick up the pieces.
Suffice to say, coming back to the mafia is easier said than done, especially when it becomes clear that Gokudera might be the least of his problems. Beyond that, Yamamoto and Gokudera aren't the ONLY guys affected by the Tenth's decision to tie the knot.
That is ROI in a nutshell, although to be completely honest, it has expanded WAY BEYOND THE REALM OF 8059 - in fact, this is something of an epic longfic project on my part, and my attempt to show the future as it might be under the assumption that the kids managed to fix things in the TYL arc. I'll be tackling all pairings that strike my fancy, be they het or gay/lezzie as this is my attempt to put all of my zany KHR Orgy! theories to work.
I've got a tentative outline and a few really short excerpts and logs of a bunch of conversations with a bunch of different people with regard to how this could possible go. Am pretty positive that I'll be able to fulfill 50,000 words. I also realize that this project might even be MORE challenging than what I've done in the past precisely because it's a fanfic. It's also not action-driven, given the character-centered premise. That's always a bitch to get down unless we're talking drabbles.
So, uh.
Wish me luck? +_+
