Shounen Club in Osaka ~ Power

Oct 17, 2010 12:44

I’m posting the second episode of Shounen Club in Osaka today, the episode aired on September 10th and the theme was Power and Yoko was the guest for this episode also.

The opening had a little medley kind of introducing the different Kansai boys. I’m not going to talk about the younger groups mainly because I don’t know most of the littler ones and I’m not that interested in them either (^_^”)

Veteran sung a song called “S.O.S” I was not enjoying the yellow costumes at all, the song itself sounded quite nice and why, why!? Do they insist on putting the shortest member (Bun-Chan) next to the longest tallest member? The difference in height is pretty big lol. After those was BOYS and I quite like their voices this was the first time I properly heard them sing. Then it was BAD singing “MAGNETIC” and I died! I haven’t seen this song being sung/performed in a while and I really like the song so I was quite happy to see it.

~Veteran~

L-R: Yamasaki Kunta, Muro Ryuta, Bun-Chan, long guy Muro Tatsuki, Guy who wants to blow himself up Ito Masashi, Kikuoka Masahiro.

Then there was a special medley which had Koyama starting of with “Koi no ABO” the performance was quite normal and nothing spectacular the medley had a really weird transition in to “Sakura Girl” which was also quite normal. Then Nakamaru came in with “Rescue” I felt that his vocals were lacking for this song normally I really like his vocals but for “Rescue” I felt they just weren’t as good it then went into “Love Yourself” where his vocals were much better, I think his voice is much more suited to this type of song rather than “Rescue” Next both Koyama and Nakamaru done “Weeeek” and “Going!” and I thought Koyama’s vocals sounded good for “Going!” it quite suited him well. Then it ended with Yoko joining in with “Kyuu☆Jyou☆Show!!”

This episode Yoko performed “cHocolate” and yet again Veteran were the back dancers. The choreography was quite fun and the whole performance was quite cute~! One thing that bugged me though I’m not sure though it could just be me but it looked a lot like Yoko was lip-syncing? Hmm~ I’m not too bothered if he was or wasn’t but it just seemed that was and that's what bugged me the way it looked like hw was, so yeah, if he was lipsyncing he should try to make it less obvious I guess? and if he wasnt..maybe I need my eyes and ears checked haha~ XD

Next was a BOYS special medley I’ve become increasingly interesting in the boys more and more as I watch the KanJu ni Q segment on Shokura. The first song the sang was “Sayonara ~ Futari no Sora~” which is a slow ballad type song, and they both sing really well I think the song sounds quite nice but I’m not much a ballad type song fan with a few exceptions it takes a while for them to grow on me, but this one is quite pretty but not something I could listen to a lot. The other song they sang in the medley was “BATTLE” and um this song was weird, they kept going “(Woah)” which sounded a lot more like “unngh” hmmm it’s something you have to hear its hard to put into words but didn’t sound like “Woah” to me at all XD I preferred this song to the other one but that’s probably because this isn’t a ballad, they rap a bit in it, Daichi more that Hamada though and I thought that they rapped quite well, though they aren’t the best rappers I’ve heard in JE but they are by no means some of the worst either.

Bonus Bias Picture ~ Daichi ~

Next is the performance that I’d been waiting for since I read reports for these episodes. And it was Yara with Bun-Chan and some other Kansai Jrs doing “Now & Forever”. I was quite disappointed with the performance vocal wise everything was good, but the other jrs drowned Bun-Chan out during the chorus so you could barely hear him. Also Bun-Chan keeps the place which he dances in when he dances with the rest of Butoukan which is at the back I wish they’d brought him more to the front though I suppose it can be forgiven since he already knows the steps to do from that position. Also my sister pointed out that Bun-Chan “Has some serious arse going on there” meaning his butt was looking rather large xD So yeah I’d prefer it if they’d brought Bun-chan more to the front or brought the other Butoukan guys but the other 3 were probably busy with Butai stuff, so yeah.

There was a Jumping Paradise in this episode which is something I haven’t seen for a while and while it was pretty cute it was quite dangerous at the same time. Having the 3 supporters and Nakata Junta giving Chibi KanJu’s a piggy back while skipping rope is quite dangerous if the fell they could have been badly injured, I don’t normally get serious about stuff like this but I felt that it was too dangerous to do, the risk or chances of injury might have been low you just never know what could have gone wrong a little junior could have fallen off and hit their head, broke their arm. Hmm, I guess I’m just looking way into it, but I still believe that it was a dangerous thing to do.

~ Very Dangerous! ~

One of the last performances and the last thing that I’m going to talk about is the dream collaboration with BAD, BOYS and Veteran. So they performed a song called “BIG GAME” and umm their slutty-ness was on overdrive which is always appreciated by my sister, and me sometimes and I’m appreciating this slutty goodness~! From the beginning I knew I’d enjoy this performance and I did, the song itself sounds quite nice it’s quite fast and quite catchy! I Think that all three groups have quite good vocals and they are pretty good and dancing but occasionally the dancing looked a bit messy but I suppose that’s likely to happen when you have a lot of people performing like that at once, I think there were 10 guys so its only natural that at times it wont look perfect but I really enjoyed it.
