First Attempt at Handspun
After getting a nice little drop spindle kit for Christmas (and failing until finding vids on youtube) I have my own little skein of yarn that I HAND SPUN!!! 100% alpaca fibre :D It's been drying for a whole day after I set the twist and I couldn't be happier - 76 grams and 113 yards of pure creamy softness, and I made it with my own two hands!
Looking forward to trying some plying once I get better, and finding out how to dye it different colours in different sections. If anyone knows of a good instructional video, that'd be helpful, cause the doors are wide open for possibility in my mind right now!
