WOW!! I am such a slacker...
I know I have not posted anything lately, I have been teh Busy and much tired too. Apologies.
I went to A-Kon 19; I was less than impressed with the outfits I put together but I think the leather corset I made was pretty good for my first time ever to make anything like that.
My new sewing machine worked like a champ, no problems sewing the leather AT ALL!!!!! After doing all the eyelets manually with a hammer, I recommend the tool allykatt uses (and perhaps would be so kind as to post about). She told me how easy her eyelets were and I was envious >.<
I took the first two of the 6 mastery classes that were offered with the purchase of my new sewing machine. They go over all the nifty things the machine can do and lets you verify the machine does them properly.
I also purchased some McCalls Patterns that were on sale for 99 cents, M5401, M5433, M5471, M5587, M5630. We shall see if I can properly cipher them and make some clothing.
I have have been playing with hemp to tat with just to see what it does. Not exactly the easiest material to work, I will post pictures when I get this motif finished.
Anyone doing anything interesting? 'til later then..
