Getaway
I should probably update this again. Last week everyone (Dustin, Tom, Haley, Kaitlin, Josh, Chelsea, Greeny & Sam) went to Venus Bay which is like a 2 hour drive up the west coast. We went up there in the dark Friday night which I didn't think was a very good idea given the amount of roo's around and the lack of a solid bullbar on the car, thankfully we didn't hit, or even see any. Instead we almost collected a wombat at 120km/h which was exciting.
Anyway once we got there we had to change a punctured tyre on Josh's car, that wasn't much fun. Then we got stuck into the seemingly endless supply of beer we had bought, I got pretty smashed that night but nothing really exciting happened. The next morning we could actually see where we were and the sea and islands and stuff, the view was spectacular. When your out there it's like your so far removed from civilisation, you literally just forget about all the bullshit back home and I ended up never wanting to leave but oh well - I guess it will just make it all the more special when we go back there.
I saw a girl sitting on the veranda of her shack just across the road looking pretty lonely, so I drank a few more beers until I finally got the balls to ask her over for some drinks, she was nice. Emma - never got her last name but I got her phone number and she told us to give her a call next time we were there.
Unfortunately I have no photos from the trip because I forgot to take the camera but I think the others might have some which I will try to post here. I managed to somehow fall off the balcony onto a limestone rock and fuck up my leg before rolling on top of an ant's nest and getting covered with the little black cunts. I dunno how I get into such situations...
That's all I can be stuffed writing for now, back to bloody work tomorrow.
