This picture post was a long time in coming, but better late than never, yeah?

So here goes...

First, to get the Fourth of July pictures out of the way:
Er... a green cloud.
Here we go, now -
Fireworks!
And some more fire works. Ok, that's enough.

Now for Camp!

First session was at Camp Whispering Oaks:
It's right next to Winacka, so as you can see, the landscape is similar (if much smaller).

Whispering Oaks all camp for session 3/3b:
It was Homecoming themed.
Our unit, Live Oak, used the golf cart for its float.
Kiwi and Bubby
Bubby and me
All the kings and queens receiving their instructions.
They started by spinning around on bats 10 times to make them dizzy.
Rice (our king) spun a few extra times.
Then they had to either whistle with crackers in their mouths or speak with marshmallows, blow up a balloon, and sit on it to pop it.
Next was the "football" game...
... complete with cheerleaders.
Go Peaches!
Katana and Kiwi at the dance afterward
Spork and Bubby in the chill zone
And there's Astrid!

24 hour in unit with the Night Owls at Winacka:
We decorated for Winacka's Clue all camp that night - that's Farin (sp?) and tenormaphone's sister Melissa (I think) putting up an aluminum chandalier.
And that's Megan. I'm not really sure what she's doing.
Stitch was also in unit with the Night Owls.
One of my aluminum foil and paper candelabras
Stitch looks so pensive thoughtful.
Isn't Chooney lovely? (Now Stitch looks somewhat perturbed.)
It's Chicken, who this year is a lovely aid in the Winacka kitchen!

Clue All Camp at Winacka, session 3/3b:
Adidas as Miss Scarlet, demonstrating some dance moves with the help of Bubby
Katana, there's purpleness dripping off your face!
(We were, after all, on the purple team.)
Katana and Bubby looking very purple together
Awww, little camper with her Tadger drawing.
I think Chooney should have dressed up as Tim Curry the butler.
Sweetpea as Mrs. Peacock, Hutton as Prof. Plum, someone as Mr. Green, Scully as Colenel Mustard, Adidas as Miss Scarlet, Nova as Mrs. White, and Chooney as... someone.

In between sessions:
CIT II group shot #1: Top row: Spoon, Kiwi, Ireland, Stagefright, Hoppy, Bubby. Second Row: Periwinkle, Spork, Belle, Fiz Gig, Bunny, me, Tangello. Bottom: Katana, Astrid, Stitch, Moony.
Winacka is so beautiful.
(And I was glad to be seeing the view from the Winacka lodge, again.)
This random bench makes me happy... especially since it was a back and arms.
What's wrong Stitch?
She's diseased! (Actually, that Sharpie did stay suprisingly long.)
Roboclaw pic!

48 hour in unit with Get Your Groove On at Whispering Oaks:
That would be Katie, Jasmine, and Kaleda choreographing and rehearsing their number.
Stagefright's masking taped shirt says "The Zombie Padriacs are taking over the world!"
Me, Stagefright, and Katana with our jazz hands (which came from the soul)

Winacka's Music Through the Decades All Camp for session 4/3b:
Each program was assigned a decade, and we ended up with the 90's...
So here's the Spice Girls - or Periwinkle as Baby Spice, Katana as Scary Spice, Astrid as Ginger Spice, Stitch as Sporty Spice, and Belle as Posh Spice.
Destiny's Child, or Stagefright as Michelle, Bunny as Beyonce, and Kiwi as Kelly
Spork as Kevin from the Backstreet Boys (love the eyebrows).
Bubby as Nick Carter as a mouse and Hutton as someone from the 80's
Fix Gig, Spork, Katana, and BaBooshKa singing kareoke at dinner
(It got intense.)
Someone, Adidas, Flounce, and Star as people from the 60's
Actually, they lip sank to Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi," even though it's from the 70's.
Pesto, Greenly, and I can't tell who else (the canoing people) all from the 70's... Kung Fu fighting.
Boo, Hope, Gramcracker, Honey, Scully, and Sparky (the Junior Explorers people) as people from the 70's. I think they were lip sinking to Elton John's "Your Song."
Nova, Hutton, and Gecko as 80's people dancing to Footloose.
Velcro, Cricket, and Lola (Water Adventure) dancing to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"
The Showtime people miming something to "500 Miles" by The Pretenders for the 90's.
Me as Howie D., Spork as Kevin, Fiz Gig as A.J., Spoon (Mary) as Brian, and BaBooshKa as Nick Carter as a mouse - The Backstreet Boys - lip sinking to Larger than Life, because even though we were supposed to be from the 90's, we could only get our hands on the Millennium CD.

Husking corn (because it totally deserves a whole section to itself):
Astrid is the Corn Husk Queen.
Bunny, Spork, and Stagefright became her court.
Ireland has two ears!

High Adventure Emphasis Training with Bonzai:
We were told that we'd be kayaking. (By the way, that's Upper Lake, which was completely dry and cracked and such last year.)
That's Kiwi paddling back towards us.
Here's Stitch...
Who paddled in to give me a perfect angle.
There's Fiz Gig.
Then we went repelling up at the towers - which we weren't told about before we chose the high adventure emphasis training.
But Fiz Gig made it down just fine, anyway.
Then there was Stitch.
And Kiwi.

Last night at camp - Winacka Closing Campfire and CIT Graduation:
Chooney and Rusty (I have no idea why everyone's looking the other direction)
Moony's contribution (which is also the first page of our memory books if you want to read it - awww)
I can totally hold my hand steady.
Chewbaka with a mouth full of lanyards at our CIT graduation party thing (which also had pita and hummus... not falafel, but close). For some reason I forgot to rotate this picture.
Spork with her Spork hat
Chooney making weird faces, again.
I have a Waffle hat!

Last Day! Get Your Groove on show and good byes:
CIT II group shot #2: Top Row: Astrid, Tangello, Stitch, Belle, me. Second Row: Aqua, Gypsy Spoon, Spork, Hoppy, Kiwi, Stagefright, Ireland, Katana. Third Row: Bunny (who gets her own row :P.) Fourth Row: Rice, Periwinkle, Fiz Gig, Moony. Bottom: Peaches and Bubby.
Get Your Groove On group Shot - I'll totally fail at naming people, but here goes, anyway - Back Row: Kobi, Trouble, Redwood, Tuddies, me, Katana, Stagefright. Second Row: Jasmine, Jeanine. Third Row: a girl, Katie, Lourdes. Bottom Row: Amber, Kaleda, someone, someone else.
Toxic dance by the Get Your Groove On girls (choreographed by Kobi)
"Jumpin' Jumpin'" choreographed and performed by Amber, Jeanine, and Lourdes
"Dare You to Move" choreographed and performed by Katie, Jasmine, and Kaleda
(Strike a pose - slower, ballet type dances are much easier to photograph more clearly)
"Caught Up" choreographed and performed by Elaine, Monica, and Nicole
And now for the dance Katana, Stagefright, Kobi, and I choreographed...
"All That Jazz!" (There's Stagefright's cancan.)
And the Jazz Hands (with Katie doing the splits)!
Bubby, stop loosing your things!
Spork and Fiz Gig saying good bye to us privates on site pick ups.

... That post was kind of long and frustrating. Like the part half way through where livejournal went wonky and I basically had to start over.

pictures, camp
