Hmmm...Mr. Suddenlink user has been pondering. ;) I'm rather enjoying defending my views. Most people just argue with me. :)
Although I don't think it is because of an outside force, but an inside deterioration. However...this I don't understand. I guess I don't understand what you mean by inside deterioration. The US or Iraq...or what? And hey...if MLK had a dream so can I. :) Actually...I once was close minded. I once believed like the majority of American and believe our government was for the people...by the people. And yet, I've watched documentaries. I've listened to people who've been on the inside. I've discussed events with people who are more current on issues than I'll ever be...and they've opened my mind. They've made me see that our government has turned on it's own people. And I don't expect everyone to agree...or understand. But if one or two people can open my eyes I don't see why I'm not able to do the say? I'm not trying to reach the world...I'm only one person and I'm only human. But I can encourage folks to educate themselves. Unfortunately, I can't force anyone to read articles or watch documentaries or any of those things. But I can sit here in a dream world and hope that I might some day spark someone's interest like mine was sparked. It never hurts to hope. We all hope for something every single day. I'm sitting here right now hoping I never hear a knock on my door in the middle of the night with masked men telling me I'll only be gone for a short time. Aleksandre Solzhenitsyn wrote a harrowing story about it. Granted it's not an American story...but who's to say it won't happen...or that it hasn't.

There's an unrest in the American people. I can feel it. I see it.

I am forever pondering, and always thinking.
I was speaking about iraq.

"Actually...I once was close minded. I once believed like the majority of American and believe our government was for the people...by the people. And yet, I've watched documentaries. I like this lol. Though if you read this you have looked to see something else that you think is the truth, and it is just as you have closed your mind some where else. But is the truth so black and white or is there a hint of gray in the mix? I hope so, it is always fun to play there, because that is where you can be in the American dream(whatever you want to be, open to many different points of view). But perhaps I am dreaming again. Just to point out, it is people who run our government and on top of that they are politicians. When have they ever really not been thinking of themselves, for that fact when has anyone never really thought about anyone but themselves. Now here is possibly a truth about that. "They have never really thought about anyone but them selves, there were just people that thought along the same lines and went along with them." That is what a democratic government has always been really. But I guess you really can't blame the politicians, what they do is more competitive than really any other job in the world. I would think to survive you would have to have that kind of attitude about it. But then again that is just what is coming out right now. The nice thing about this country, I can change it when I wake up.

Well, I see it as truth when there are people who stand in front of large crowds and give testimoney about what they did for the government. They write books about their experiences. How can I not see it as truth. Because if it isn't then he'll find himself either a) being sued or b) landed in jail ot c) both for speaking falsly against the powers that be.

The nice thing about this country, I can change it when I wake up.

And here...the priority of a government's citizens is to overthrow it when they aren't happy. Afterall, isn't that how we became Americans? We were tired of the British crown pushing us around so we quit the monarchy rule. Texas won it's independence from Mexico...I mean...the list goes on and on. Now I'm not saying we should seceed from the union again. If that were to happen it could possibly lead to worse things. All I'm saying it...I'm not crazy. No matter how many people think it. :)

Though I think we are beating a dead horse with this conversation, it is fun.

The only problem with people who write books about what they have done and give testimony, is you still have to find out fact from fiction. The the book and testimony is still only true to the eye of the beholder and those who follow them. As far as I know there is only one book that was written by man that is completely true, and it was written long before this country was around.

The other nice thing about this country is that there are other people out there with other views. I like this because it is always interesting to see what those views are. It is kinda like going to church. I like going to different churches sometimes just to see what other people believe. In the end I have several different points of view, then (movie qoute)"you just have to make up your own dam mind."

I've got to see who makes it out of the prelimiaries first before I can say who I'm voting on. One thing for sure....not Hiliary. :) I'll move to Canada if she's elected.
