Just your average rant
Today I learnt the word 'boffin'. It means computer geek apparently. But my teacher said it was irrelevant to know, but I think it's nice to know.
I also really want to learn more about the black country dialect here, because I sometimes hear words or phrases...I cannot even make out what it is supposed to mean.
Waterstones also has really nice books on the history of Wolverhampton. But I can guess what it's about: Industrialisation. Nevertheless, very interesting.
Got an awesome book from the awesome uni library called 'How to read paintings'. It's about symbolism and how to understand the meaning of paintings better.
I also managed to keep my full attention at the two lectures I had today, which I thought was pretty amazing for someone who easily gets distracted by a fly or dust ball in the air or something like that.
Now I am going to attempt at cooking, making 'thai ribbon noodles'.
I tried to rip the 'Alles is liefde' DVD that I lent from Karina, but after leaving it on the whole night, it was still only at 60%. It's supposed to take 35 minutes? (any ripping experts around here?)
