this full moon party thing was pretty incredible. I'm guessing there was somewhere between 3 and 6 thousand sweaty bodies crowded ass to ass the whole stretch of the beach last night.
We left our bungalow at about 11 pm with three canadian girls that were staying next door, one dutch girl, one austrian girl, and one british man with a Phd...dr. antony. All five of the girls were extremely good looking, I don't know how they ended up hanging out with us all night. We ate at Hat Rin, and then headed out to the party. I purchased a "bucket"...which is an actual bucket of the type that you might see children playing with at the beach. A sand pale they might call it. it was red, and had a plastic band that served as a handle. This bucket was actually a rum and coke concoction, it was too big to hold in one hand like a normal drink, and full to the brim. I believe they called it a "bucket of joy", it cost the equivalent of about $3. It had four sipping straws for maximum flow rate.
Dr. Antony peaced around 3 am because he had a boat to catch at 7. He was a good fellow. After that, we went back down to the party, jon, me, and the five hot hot girls from all over the world.
For whatever reason, the brits seem to prefer dance music...and techno or whatever. They can't dance for shit, however, and they were all doing something that looked very similar to the ska dance that was popular many years ago...when that ska thing was going on. ONly they kick sand around, and it looks generally hilarious. Makes you happy to hear missy elliot or nelly come on so they might stop that rediculous dancing.
I finished my bucket, and switched to beer because the liquor was effecting my stomache in a way that could only mean trouble in the future (the bucket of joy might have been a bucket of something else had I continued with the rum).
The party was still going on when the sun came up, the bars were still serving and playing loud music, and there were still at least a thousand people on the beach. We peaced.
We are leaving on the noon boat tomorrow, back to Serat Thani, and then on a bus to bangkok where we will stay for two nights before flying into Siem Reap Cambodia.
