It’s been a non-stop week of culinary delights.

Pure f*cking insanity on the wallet:

Friday: Les Enfants Terribles on the LES with Mara and Max. Delicious scallops and even more delicious mojitos.

Saturday: Brunch at Dizzy’s in Park Slope with K. Crap service, beer-bellied frat boy unprofessional waitstaff. Never going back. Dinner at Congee Village in Chinatown with K, Lucile and Gretchen. SO DELICIOUS - flounder, congee with dried scallops, snowpea leaves. My most favorite restaurant in NYC for sure. We went to the dyke march and then to dyke-o-rama at Fontana’s. Afterwards, K’s belly was on fire for that flounder, so we WENT BACK to Congee Village. The waiter pointed and laughed at us with his co-workers for coming back twice in one night. I successfully ordered a bowl of rice in Cantonese! I was so nervous.

Monday: Late dinner at Sakura on 5th Avenue -- my first concerted attempt at eating “real” sushi. We got a special tropical roll that had mango in it and a fluke salad which was so tender and mind-boggling delicious - I still dream of it.

Tuesday: Big German beers and potato pancakes at Zum Schneider in the East Village with an old professor and some urban studies buddies. I had an even better time that I imagined. The potato pancakes (I didn’t dare call them “latkes” at the German joint) were SLAMMING.

Wednesday: K and I FINALLY had our long-anticipated dinner at Kuma Inn. It was good, not amazing. We’ve come to be real food snobs.

Thursday: Saravana in Curry Hill for Meghana’s going-away dinner.

Tonight: Maggie Brown’s for Zak’s going away dinner. I don’t think it’s veg-friendly, but I’ll survive.

I ate the leftover rice dishes from the delicious Saravana for breakfast, and now I’m having a total gut bomb, as Meghana would say. I’m sad -- Everyone is leaving. Cathy Wu retreated to Japan, Clara just left for Cali, Zak is leaving tomorrow for a month in France, and Meghana is leaving next week. It’s all going to sh*t, I tell ya.

I’m pretty sure this is a pretty boring, pretty annoying post. Oh, well.

I’ve been so tired lately, passing out at night like a dinosaur with a belly full of sand.
