Disturbed - 02-10-06
Eventually.... we went to so see Disturbed last night, and i can truely say... it was worth the 50 week wait :D i had an ace time and i even managed to completely lose my voice again :D
i was sooo looking forward to this gig, and i wasn't disappointed. me and my peeps went for some food before we got to the Academy, and can i just say.. NEVER go to Piccadilly Wetherspoons, as it SUCKS MONKEY BALLS!!!!!! they had NOTHING on the menu, no sausages, no pasta, no rice, hardly any meat, complete bollocks! and i got charged £9.49 for a plate of chips and gravy (WTF!?!?!) got my dosh back luckily. then i also got a glass of coke that was clearly coke coloured water, i ordered a BBQ chicken melt thing and got a mixed grill, and my mates food was cold. good way to start the evening i though :p
went for a drink in the SU when we got there as there was a huge queue, when we eventually got in there the 1st support band were on, the Zico Chain i only got to hear one song but it sounded pretty cool! then the next support band Nevermore. when i found out these were supporting i checked out their myspace (not official, but still) and they sounded pretty cool, so i was all hyped to hear them. well, i wasn't impressed at all. the bass was too loud and the singers mic was too low. but saying that, the songs themselves were heavy and a few of them were fast and i quite liked them, just didn't think justice was done to them last night.
and after a half an hour wait (after a year, what was another half an hour eh?) Disturbed came out. woohoo!!!!! David has put a bit of weight on but still looked gorgeous, and he was also very apologetic about missing the last two scheduled dates, which was nice. they were on for about an hour (way too short) and they played:

it rocked! loved every second of it! as always, got the t-shirt and the keyring, heheheheheh. Piccies on my Photobucket as always, i really need a new fone. the pics from this one were really crap, hopefully i can steal tea leaves when she comes round to sort her fone *muhahahahahaha*
i also bumped into Alan who i used to work with, which was cool. he shouldn't have left, work isn't the same without him :(
