Christmas Stuff
Wow, this just seems like it was the longest day ever. I am working by myself all week so my keepers can have the holiday off. Today I had to be Manager on Duty. So the skeleton crew came in early just to feed stuff and then leave. I let everyone come in early so they could get home sooner. I went to work at 7 and by 10:30 everyone was gone but little 'ol me. I had plenty of stuff to do with my own critters and medical stuff to see to. And every two hours I had to make rounds. Even so, the day seemed to stretch on forever. It's kinda weird being the only person at the zoo. I drove around in my little cart with my MP3 player on, singing along to the songs because no one could hear me! I gave yummy treats to a lot of the animals as well.
So glad this holiday is finally over! Now if this week would just end I get a three--possibly FOUR day weekend after this!
